05 gets 22+ around town, 24+ unloaded hwy. I am easy on it becuse its my money. The 07 however, 18 in town and not much more on the hwy. I havent had time to get in the shop manual but I am thinking there are some emmision items on the 07 that may not be on the 05. Of course any speculation of modification is only theoretical . Both are stock and unchiped. I am going to gauge both before applying an tunners. The 07 has a brand new set of Dodge warranteed injectors in it, thank you Dodge:thumb1: , and the correct filtration.
My question: does anyone know what the changes were between the 07 5.9 and the 05 that could be corrected on the 07 and experience with same. My understanding is that the 07 keeps a close track of what is going on in its wiring harness and doesnt like change. I am a longevity guy. I live at 5000 feet and have yet to not have enough grunt from these stock trucks.

Well i should have gotten a Road Armor Bumper and maybe it would have helped a little. A guy decided to cut in front of me and make a left as i was going straight. Light turned yellow and one guy cut in front but had time to make it but the 2nd guy didnt make it. Witness confirmed that it was a yellow light 15 different ways to my insurance. She thought that the guy making the left had right of way. I cant believe california gives away drivers licenses that easy. Plus they do not do anything to people that drive around with no insurance. Amazing state! No i have to wait for his insurance to investigate.
The truck still started and went into gear and drove up the tow truck bed so thats a good thing. Not sure if the intercooler is busted but will have to wait and see.
What makes this even worse is that this truck is my race car hauler and my car was pretty much ready to go to the tuner and off to the track. Well so much for that. Been down for a year and now dont know for how long.

Hi. New here and I'm glad to find you guys.
So I recently picked up a 2002 2500 five nine 4x. 112000 miles. Of course it won't start when hot unless I leave key on till pump stops and then bleed the water filter. I have a Tass one fifty that I'm putting in on tues. there is no fuel pressure gauge but I will be putting one on tues. as well. I guess what I'm asking is my vp going to be shot. Or can we not tell without a gauge. I've never owned a diesel and mine seems pretty week feels like some pretty dead pedal. No smoke on cold start.

I am getting ready to go to a re-enactment... I haven't had a chance to connect with my blacksmith to make a new mount for a swivel cannon (1 of 3 I own, just like it sounds, a small cannon mounted on a swivel yoke). The mount that came with it was just not working out. I can't even exhibit it unless I grind the spike on the mount round, to stick in the stump. So I clamp it in the vise & attack it with the grinder... actually, I'm doing cut & try... grinding it more round and then trying a round collar on it.
Yeah, sparks are flying some but I've seen far more & I was just doing a light pass at a time.
No, I didn't clean the bench off. Just the area where my vise was on the corner.
So I look up & I see a major glow. As a re-enactor, flint lock shooter, I know it only takes one spark to make fire. Well, I had a whole wadd of fine steel wool, had caught a spark & was glowing brightly... some smoke & flame.
I drop it on the concrete floor, step on it & it goes out...

Dear wifee comes over & says something about not setting the house on fire. I keep my foot on the steel wool. I'm thinking that her late first husband used to tune up snowmibiles (2 cycle kind) in the basement but decide I'd best STFU.

Nope, I don't have a manual, and I don't know wtf I'm doing. All I can say is that it works when it wants, and that's not good enough.

Its a Central Hydraulics motorcycle Jack.

It doesn't leak, and it appears to be full of fluid. However, I don't know what all these are for:

Left side, no idea. Allen plug pukes oil when I open it. Right flat tip screw thingy when you take it out has a flat tip screw adjuster inside.

Any help? Sometimes the Jack works full stroke pump. Sometimes, partial stroke. Sometimes it doesn't hardly move.

Over the last few years I have done a few mods that have made the truck quieter, and well I guess the cumulative effect just snuck up on me!

I was camping a few weeks ago and a guy with a bone stock 6.4 Ford commented on how quiet it was, which was not something I expected as the 6.4 is a fairly quiet motor. Well sure enough my truck is a LOT quieter than his. So now I have started listening and it's amazing how quiet my truck is at idle, the loudest things are the trans and the vacuum pump. The trans was super quiet with the 6.7 damper until the weather warmed up, now it makes a little noise but not much.

All in all I am pretty happy with it!

The things I have done that effect the idle noise are...

6.7 Harmonic Damper (did this on my dad's 06 and it made a HUGE difference)
Colt Cam
Garrett Stage 2 Turbo
Smarty JR UDC and idle timing.

I'm adjusting the valves next week, we shall see if that does any more.

Not a bad side effect for the mods.

Does anyone know why my truck doesn't start so smooth as other 12 valves ive seen or heard? I've seen countless videos of 12v's that start instantly and mine takes a little bit. Most of the time I give it a quick nudge in the throttle but I'd like to figure out why it starts different. My uncle has a 92 and it starts instantaneously and it always struck me odd that mine takes a little bit of cranking. Does anyone know the cause of this or am I alone?

I've owned my truck for a couple months now. Ever since I owned it, the red BRAKE light has flashed in a timed manner repeatedly until I release the parking brake. One time sitting on a hill with the tailgate facing downhill, I parked in neutral, set the brake and the truck slowly started creeping backwards. Only happened once, and I park on that same hill all the time at my moms house. Since then I'm always very cautious to make sure my wheel is turned sharply incase the brake would let go. However, just recently, the blinking light continues to stay on and blink while driving. Now I've never worked on brakes ever, so I'm unfamiliar with them, but I've learned the blinking means it is parking brake related, not ABS or anything like that. The only thing I changed in that area was when I zip tied my Edge wires up around there... but I looked with the brake on and off, no wires are pinching, or blocking anything, and the pedal feels exactly the same as it did when I bought it. Feels very similar to my 2000 V10's brake, which had nothing wrong with it. Any ideas on what to look at? Remember I probably need some detail (pics would be awesome) since I've never dabbled in brakes before. Thanks guys.

-prothane 2" leveling kit for the front
-daystar scorpion +2" shocks
-reybestos upper control arm bushings
-reybestos lower control arm bushings
-reybestos prefessional grade upper ball joints
-raybestos professional grade lower ball joints
-moog problem solver sway bar end links
-reybestos professional sway bar bushings

ill have pictures of it as stuff rolls in. i plan on tearing the whole front end off and putting it all on. I figured if your gonna tear it down might as well replace it all at once.

plus im going for a better stance a little nicer ride
